March 26, 2008

Final Stats

Atlanta, Ga - Alabama State lost to 17th ranked Georgia Tech 17-4 in Atlanta Wednesday night, as the Hornets lost only their second non-conference of the game this season.

ASU struck first when Josh Clemons drove home Furquan Shamsud-Din in the top of the second inning. Tech responded by score two in the bottom of the second, and tacked on two more in the third and another in the fourth.

Down 5-1 in the fifth, ASU rallied when Chris Davis knocked in Breon Landers and later scored on a Yellow Jacket error.

With the score 5-3, Georgia Tech scored three in fifth and then poured in six in the sixth to put the game out of reach for the Hornets.

ASU (9-10) was scheduled to host Fisk Thursday afternoon, but that game has been canceled. The Hornets will travel to Nashville to face Fisk on Saturday.
